Led by the stairs into the stars DISCOVER THE STAI RCASE TO THE MOON Staircase to the Moon is a natural phenomenon created by the full moon reflecting off the exposed mudflats at extremely low tide – creating a beautiful optical illusion of stairs reaching the moon. WHERE CAN I SEE IT? The coastline of Onslow, Dampier, Point Samson, Hearson Cove, Cossack, Port Hedland and Broome. WHAT DATES? Between March and October 3 times a month. Times vary depending on where you are, check with your local visitor centre for up to date times. Night markets are held in conjunction with Staircase to the Moon in Broome, Port Hedland and Onslow.
